Freestanding Pet Gates

Freestanding pet gates provide a practical way to restrict where dogs and other pets can go around the home without permanently fixing a barrier to a wall or doorway. Our range includes metal and wooden freestanding pet gates in grey, white, black and natural wood-colour finishes. Because they stand independently, they are a useful alternative to pressure-fit or screw-fixed gates where you would prefer not to drill into walls or door frames.

Choose from fixed-width gates for suitably sized openings or adjustable-width pet gates for greater flexibility. Freestanding designs can also be repositioned between suitable locations as your requirements change.

Before choosing a gate, check the individual product dimensions against the space you need to block. Consider the width and height in relation to your pet and whether a fixed or adjustable model is more appropriate.

Are freestanding pet gates suitable for dogs?

Freestanding pet gates do provide a practical way to restrict a dog's access to certain areas without installing a permanently fixed barrier. Suitability will depend on the individual dog and gate, so consider your dog's size, strength, agility and behaviour alongside the product's dimensions and construction.
What is the difference between freestanding and wall-fixed gates?

The main difference is how they are installed. Freestanding gates stand independently and can be repositioned easily, whereas wall-fixed gates attach to the surrounding structure using either pressure or drilling and remain in a set location. Are these products sold with a warranty?

Yes, all of our products are sold with a 6 month warranty, this covers manufacturer faults, it does not cover wear and tear or damage from use of the product. If a product is faulty, we provide a returns label.

How much does shipping cost, where do you deliver to, and when can I expect my delivery?

Shipping is free to UK mainland addresses, this excludes the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. Shipping generally takes 2-3 working days.
